The Christmas light up at Orchard Road is awe-inspiring and creates a setting that’s nothing less than a wonderland. Irresistible festive buys, charming decorations and brilliant lights are a few things that get holidaymakers flocking to this place every year.

2018’s celebration is marking a difference from the preceding years as the magic of Disney is coming to the neighbourhood. Seeing popular characters from evergreen flicks like Toy Story and Frozen, and Mickey Mouse and Disney princesses coming to life will whisk you away into a world of fantasy. The official light-up celebration takes places on 10 November 2018 and decorations stay till 1 January 2019.

  • Enchant yourself with the street décor
    The Disney theme coming to Orchard Road has a special reason behind it: it’s the 35th year of Christmas light up ceremonies happening here. As such, the street décor is sure to be something spectacular to witness.

    • Where:
      The decoration would span four zones—from Tanglin Mall to Scotts Road all the way up to Plaza Singapura, which is a stretch of about 2.88 kilometres.
    • What to see:
      You should certainly see Disney Princess holding court at the Tanglin Mall and Scotts Road, along with Mickey Mouse and other Disney characters. Don’t forget to pay a visit to Orchard Central and Wheelock Place to see amazing Disney-themed decorations.
  • Have fun in the Christmas Village
    The Christmas Village is expected to be jam-packed, but it’s a must-visit to enjoy some really exciting activities. From games to photography opportunities, workshops to live performance, the Christmas Village has a lot in store for visitors. You should certainly:

    •  Take a spin ride on the Duplex Carousel with your little ones.
    •  Take up a photo op with Merli, the STB mascot coming for a debut performance.

Christmas without snow can feel incomplete and dull. You can head to Snow City Singapore, which the city’s first indoor snow centre located in the Science Centre, to get the feel of real snow. It happens hourly in the first five minutes of every hour at Mezzanine.   •       PS Invaders’ Christmas Drones Take Over: This event is happening between 16 November and 31st December this year at Plaza Singapura. The timing is between 11 am and 9 pm.
  •       Adopt-A-Plant for Charity: This event is happening between 16 November and 31st December this year at Bedok Mall.
  •       Roving Performance Regale: This event is happening between 7 December and 25 December at Westgate Mall. The timing is 6 pm to 8 pm

8. Have a Wizarding Holiday at Changi Airport
